The Engineer will assess the UXO risk and will facilitate any disposal requirements.

On-Shore Safe Storage of Dredged Unexploded Ordnance

Storage facilities must be authorised by the HSE prior to any dredging taking place. We will liaise with the HSE and ensure all operating procedures produced comply with their recommendations. It is important to note that not all sites pose the same risks to the public and/or to its employees. Bespoke procedures are written for each site.

On-Ship Safe Storage of Dredged Unexploded Ordnance

EOD will provide on-board operating procedures to determine what can be kept on-board ship; this is always based on total net explosive quantity (NEQ).

_Quality Assurance & Quality Control

Quality assurance and quality control. We carry out quality assurance "QA" and quality control "QC" on clearance operation both within the United Kingdom and abroad. We monitor the clearance process "QA" and carryout technical sampling procedures to ensure the quality has been maintain throughout the clearance process.

The criteria for target investigation is established based upon the perceived threat, taking account of the previous history of the land, the future use to which the land will be put together with the proposed construction methods that will be employed.

Once the target criteria is set, EOD Contracts will deploy an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team (EODT) to access and expose each target individually, ensuring a positive identification of all items of ordnance.

There are three methods used by EOD Contracts for accessing each target, dependant upon: Size of the target, location, depth and ground conditions:

- Open cast excavations (Preferred option).
- Vertical and horizontal shafting and shoring.
- Specialist temporary works.

Once an item of ordnance has been identified, the on site EOD engineers will carry out a Threat Assessment (TA). The EOD Engineer will identify the hazards and inform the appropriate authorities and liaise with them on behalf of our clients. The disposal of the ordnance is generally carried out by a military EOD team.

The course covers all aspects of foot and mobile drills involving venues, travel and residential. Both armed and unarmed disciplines are covered. EODC can also provide trained and experienced CP personnel from individuals to full teams able to operate anywhere in the world.

Commercial and Residential Security Surveys

How safe and secure is your property? We are able to conduct anything from a comprehensive security survey on your commercial and residential properties and sites to basic security advice. We can also project-manage the task from initial survey to final testing and signing off. As a consequence of the survey we can identify areas of weakness and suggest security measures which if implemented will help to mitigate the identified risks. Recommendations are made along with the supporting reasons for them and are in keeping with UK National and local security policies.

Technical and Physical Access Control Training

Who is entering your premises? How are they checked? Is your staff aware of the possible threats? Do they know how to correctly use any installed security equipment and aids? Are they trained to a high enough standard? EODC Security can provide training services in all these areas to a UK recognised standard for commercial and retail staff.

Airport Security

In the current unstable climate, to protect the country from any threatening events and to reassure the traveling public that they are safe, airport security is paramount. EODC airport security assessments and training aim to prevent any threats or potentially dangerous situations from arising, entering the airport grounds and so entering the country. With these assets in place, the chances of any dangerous situations, illegal items or threats entering into the aircraft, country or airport are greatly reduced.

Maritime Security

Maritime piracy has a history as long as ships have gone to sea, from the Caribbean to the Barbary Coast, to the Far East. It continues to exist today and thrives in the modern period, with an estimated 5.9 merchant ships attacked for every 1,000 voyages. EODC are able to identify the risks, and coordinate resources to mitigate threats and consequences, and that security resources are appropriate to meet these programs.

Port Security requires measures to reduce the risks and to attenuate the results of any action that threatens the security of personnel, facilities, and vessels. EODC will identify critical assets within a port, and develop a prioritised list and plan for adequate security measures to meet specific needs. Areas include oil storage facilities, barge fleeting facilities, container terminals and passenger terminals. Also covered are off-shore platforms.

Current regulations and insurance require the owners or operators of vessels to designate security officers for vessels, develop security plans based on security assessments, implement security measures specific to the vessel's operation, and comply with current Marine Security levels. EODC can provide trained professional personnel to fulfill these roles.

Personal Security Development Courses

Personal Security at home and work is an area much overlooked by most training companies. Awareness of your surroundings and environment can reduce or eliminate any potential or actual threats to you, your family, friends and business colleagues. We can develop the necessary skills and procedures to enable you to be aware of your surroundings and take the required steps to maintain your safety. Who has ever arrived at a strange airport to be met by a crowd of insistent intimidating taxi drivers as an introduction to the country? Training is also provided to cover security awareness when travelling to other countries. The many areas covered include hotels, venues, meetings, and internal travel.

Surveillance and Counter-Surveillance Training

Surveillance training covers foot, mobile and static surveillance techniques in all environments, from the planning stage to completion.

From urban to rural environments, your private and business movements and locations could be monitored by individuals or agencies who may not have your best interests at heart. Counter-surveillance training is aimed at anyone who may be at risk from hostile surveillance and wishes to detect this with the minimum disruption to their social and business routines. EODC trains individuals and CP personnel in aspects of both, in order for them to take the necessary actions if a threat is suspected or detected.
